Skip has been passionate about Jazz Guitar for over twenty five years. He has a masters in music from the University of North Texas. Skip has studied with Charlie Banacos, Paul Bollenback and Danny Gatton to name a few. He has played all the famous Jazz spots in Baltimore such as the New Haven Lounge as well as the ones in D.C. He has also written two books of guitar transcriptions as well as being an accomplished composer. He currently serves as a professor of music at Mount St. Mary’s College. What I like about Skip and his playing is, first off it was a hard job to fill Peter Hollerbach (The Dr.) shoes in my trio, but Skip has risen to the occasion. He is not afraid to go for it on the tunes!
